Each of our nine guest rooms retains its historical charm but has been updated to provide luxurious, contemporary comforts. Any individual room may feature 100+ year old, wide plank flooring but will also have marble touches in the bathrooms, wireless charging alarm clocks and smart televisions. An elevator connects the building's first floor with both guest room floors ensuring accessibility.
With a partner in 1820, Calvin L. Herrick built what is now Old Dutch Inn. Herrick is a third-floor King room with the best views of the village square. Herrick is able to connect internally to Mason for guests desiring a two-room suite and is an excellent choice for guests who wish to utilize our complimentary baby crib.

In remembrance of a much-loved former caretaker of the property, the Roberts is a third-floor, Double Queen with southern and western exposures. Roberts offers the most natural light and is the quietest room on the property.

In the 19th century, various fraternal orders including the Masons utilized the property's third floor as their Lodge. Today's Mason is a third-floor King room with two northerly windows. Mason is able to connect internally to Herrick for guests desiring a two-room suite.
In 1820, Messrs. Herrick and Bray originally built what is now Old Dutch Inn for use primarily as a shoe shop. Our Bray is a third-floor King room overlooking the village square. Bray offers both eastern and southern exposures and is an excellent choice of rooms for guests desiring to utilize our complimentary baby crib.

Honoring one of the property's legacy names, Van Buren Inn, the rejuvenated Van Buren is a second floor King room overlooking the village square.

Named for the Netherland's province where the Village of Kinderhook's sister city of Buren resides, Gelderland is a second-floor, southern-facing Queen room.
In the mid-1800s through early 1900s, Old Dutch Inn was operated as the Lindenwald Hotel, named after the nearby homestead of United States President Martin Van Buren. Our Lindenwald is a second-floor, southern-facing Queen room.
The Town of Kinderhook is recognized for inspiring Washington Irving's, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The eponymous Irving is a second-floor, accessible, Queen room with two northerly exposures. An elevator provides ease of access to upper floors.
Contactless check-in hours start at 3:00pm. Prior to check-in, guests will be provided via email with a personal keycode for the building and guest quarters. Keycodes are not shared between guests and expire upon checkout. Check-out is at 11am. Early check-in or late departures may be accommodated at no extra charge depending upon availability; inquire directly.
As a small, family-run business, the property is only staffed during the daytime. Guests will be provided with a 24/7 monitored phone number in case a need arises. Strict quiet hours commence at 10pm to ensure all guests are able to enjoy a relaxing stay.
As a small business, every reservation affects us greatly. We thank you for thoughtfully considering our cancellation policy prior to booking a stay at Old Dutch Inn.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment will be charged on day of arrival.
Your stay is fully refundable if cancelled up to 8 days prior to check-in. If cancelled between 2 and 7 days prior to arrival, the 50% advanced deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations or no-shows on day of arrival are subject to the full cost of the reservation. Date changes must be made at least 8 days in advance to avoid loss of deposit.
Early departures are not refundable.
Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are welcome. We are unable to host other furry friends.
Service animals must remain under the control of their handlers at all times.
The property is monitored with interior and exterior security cameras as well as 24/7 fire and elevator monitoring services. The owners are accessible 24 hours through a dedicated line made available to guests upon check-in.
Old Dutch Inn is an entirely smoke-free property, including vape products. A $500 fee will be charged upon the detection of smoking and guests will forfeit the remainder of their reservation, without reimbursement.
